Currently I am on a long term assignment with a Temp agency where I get paid $12/hr. I start work in the afternoon which gives me time to look for something else.

Now, I am being offered a job that pays close to $15 per hour but have to work 8am to 5pm. This is also a Temp job with a possibility to go permanent. The problem is if I need to go to an interview for another job I can't during my own time since my work time interferes.

Should I take this job?, or more importantly, how can I go to an interview (if one popped up) with this work schedule without looking suspicious?

There may be a possibility that I may like this job, just thinking ahead for now.

Thanks.

Take the job for now, if you need to go interviews tell them that you have a doctors appointment or call out sick

Take the job offered...the other way, you are only waiting until something 'pops' up and with the job offered, you may open many more doors....and you can answer ads and set up appts outside of work if necessary

I will do a long lunch. I will find a place to use a public restroom to change into my interviewing clothes.

Sometimes, the client is professional to give you some flexibility.

Take the job! 'A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.'

If you still want to interview, maybe you can schedule interviews duriing your lunch hour. Good luck!

Call in sick, say you had diarrea...the extra money is good, but more importantly, if you are building skills in an area that interests you, that could lead to something better, than defintely go for it.
