Yes. I did it without notice because a two weeks notice is a distinct honor and privilege to be earned not an entitlement.
The boss acts like that he is entitled it regardless how he treats people.

I haven't but I know or seen a few who have. In every case, it's because they were harassed into quitting. That's what the employer wanted to have happen.
People don't suddenly decide to quit a job. It makes no sense because you need a paycheque to live. If you feel fed up with a job, you start looking for a new one first and, hopefuly you find one, you then quit (with or without notice.) Why cut your nose off to spite your face?
That's why the only reason someone would suddenly quit without another job to go to would be if they're being forced into it. In other words, management wants you gone but doesn't want the hassle of firing you. By harassing you into quitting, often the employee just goes away. Yes, the employee can still sue but often they are so demoralized they don't or they don't realize that they can. Thus, the employer was able to get rid of the employee without paying anything or being sued. It's ugly and awful but it happens routinely!
The first example is my brother. He worked in the construction industry. His company was hired as a consultant to verify that a roadway was built according to safety specs. His company didn't explain to him that since the company building the road pays the consultant fee, he is to let them do what they want. Well my brother didn't understand how the business works and went to warn them they were not within specs. Finally, my brother reported them to the safety commission. Next thing, my brother was being given shift work at different hours. Most nights he only had a few hours sleep and expected to be at work early. Finally, he showed up late and was yelled at for an hour. This scene repeated several times until he quit in frustration. The only way the company could get that client back was to get rid of my brother and argue he was gone and please use our company again. Although my brother did the ethical thing, it cost him his job.
If management is getting on your case in a serious way, to the point you feel like quitting, it's because that's what they want you to do. They're trying to fire you indirectly and not have to pay a penalty or get sued over it. By forcing you to quit, it solves that problem.

I did it a couple of times, the first time I was washing dishes and one night while we were working me and this other guy decided that we were going to quit after work that night. We didn't tell anybody what our plan was just didn't go back after that night, there might have been some confusion for a little bit the next time either of us was scheduled to work but the owner could care less since he is constantly hiring anyway.
The next time I did it I was helping this guy redo the floor and renovate this whole place. The owner printed t-shirts and sold other crap that people might buy in a motorcycle rally town, so any way I work for this guy for like two months doing all kinds of stuff some days I didn't want to go in so I made up some excuse for why I couldn't make it to work. I actually called in a couple of days prior to quiting too, so the day prior I go in and he tells me he doesn't need me that day (which he told me might happen from time to time) so I don't care and just do something else. next day rolls around and I go in to work he says he doesn't need me again and I leave and go the back way and I run into a guy I work with and I decide to go back and tell the owner I quit, well instead of that I flipped out on the guy and tell him he is just a fat piece of $hit and all kinds of other obscenities and I did it all in front of a bunch of newspaper reporters that were interviewing the guy about some printing press that he had just bought, so I would have to suppose that he was glad that I was gone when it was all over with.

I did that at my previous job. I needed some time off but I had a ridiculously long probation period of 6 months. Before my 6 months came I made less money, got no sick days or vacation time. I was doing a 48 sleepover position and was seriously wrecking my body. So I needed time off when I caught a nasty case of bronchitis because I was worn down. I was told I absolutely had to come in or else my job would be in jeopardy. SO I called in and said my health was more important then my job and I quit. Well I never heard from them again and I state on my applications to not contact that employer. I tell the new company they refused me time off when I was really ill and it is usually A-OK.

I used to work at a chuck e cheeze at a birthday hostes and at first I did put in my two weeks but I didnt finish my two weeks. I had a week and a half before I was done and before I had even clocked in I was geting yelled at. I just looked at the horror of my several birthdays and rude coworkers and my friends car out the window seemed a little more interesting. So I told them ya know what Im quiting anyways and just like that I walked out the door. I really dont know how my boss took it cuz I never went to get my last cheeck cuz I lost my uniform so I couldnt get it. I know I screwed them all over that night cuz we were packed with birthday and had a school reservation but Im alot happier with out chuck e cheeze and his band of evil table bussers and cooks screaming at me all the time!

Yup. But the last job I was at frequently explained that my employement (and the other employees) was "AT WILL" and could be ended by either party at anytime (no contract) for any reason. The notice is just respectful toward the boss and company.

Hello.
Yes I have a few times. It's not good as when you look for another job and they check with your previous job in which you just leave without notice, will make them think twice about hiring you. If you had good reason, you should make a notice to the new job you are pursuing. Otherwise good luck.
Take care and have fun.
Matthew 6:19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 "But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:27 "Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
Matthew 6:32 "...For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

Hmmm. Have you ever been just fired? Had your employer just hate you so much that he/she said screw it and fired you without paying you a severance? How did you take it?

Sure, one time I went to work for a company and worked three hours and told them I quit. They could not have cared less.

Yes I did...It was telemarketing, and I could not listen to 1 more person cursing me out for doing my job, so I left and never went back.
