ive worked in the same restaurant for 5 yrs. My boss is crazy, bi-polar, a drunk and dabbles in coke. I have partied with him and we have a rapport. He has shown me disrespect in the past, and especially today. Im so fired up that i want to get at him somehow. Ive seen him demean so many employees and managers over the years its disgusting.
Hes not just your average ****** boss, though im sure it sounds like it. I dont have the energy/patience/desire to get real detailed.
So if i called HR and snitched him out for all i know, would it be worth it, would i feel good? I dont believe in ratting and mama says no one likes a tattle-tale, but im very tempted. Why should this douche-bag get to treat everyone around him like dirt and get away with being a gross excuse for a decent human?? this guy hates his own kids, for chrissakes....

how about, you like your work for the most part. u dedicated and sacraficed for the past couple of years to get to where you are. ur at a point where the people are good, u have alil office romance going on, the workload is'nt too bad, everythings good. except for one thing, you get exposed to dangerous chemicals at points and it bothers you. also the pay is not exceptional, and you also have to be an enforcer at points. these things weigh down the positive. at this point do you ask yourself, i need a safer job, i need to give up this path despite my progress because, despite the positives, its getting to dangerous,

I have a job interview today. I left my last employer last August because I became extremely sick and was unable to work. My employer ended up laying me off (which I checked and it is legal in my state). I've received treatment and completely well and ready to go back to work. I have been planning on telling the truth by saying that I left my last job because I took a medical leave to recieve treatment and that my employer couldn't go that long without someone in my place (I was only employee). But now I've received treatment and completely over my illness and ready to go back to work. My last interview that is what I said but I didn't get the job, but the competition for it was extremely fierce so I dont know if thats why I didnt get it. And the interviewer seemed to understand but I dont know. Should I stick to my explaination or go with something else? Thank you in advance!!

Has anyone had any experience driving a cab for a living? I'm in Orange County, CA but could commute to L.A. if necessary. I'm building a business and need income in the mean time. I considered driving a cab because of the cash tips and ease of leaving a job like that when things get started with the business. What are your thoughts?

I have been offered a temporary job with a large company in which I've worked (full-time) with before. He (the one that offered me the job in the company) asked me what I needed/wanted to work for him. Later on, he called me back and informed me that I'd be contracted out through a staffing company.

I'm wondering if there are things I need to be aware of before signing papers with the staffing company? Will my terms still stand through a staffing company?

Any help/advice is appreciated!
Thanks!☺

ive been waiting tables since high school and my body (and soul) cant take it! I have been to community college for art classes and went to trade school for audio engineering (i retained very little from that). Ive never worked outside the service industry.
Ive always desired a career doing something creative....writing, photography, music production, etc, etc. School is not my strong suit, nor do i enjoy it for the most part. I thought that eventually a strong passion for someting would drive me to school or to pursue something dillegently, but it hasnt.
I dread living an 'average' life with just a 'job'. I just dont feel that would fulfill me. I have no kids, no husband, few commitments. Im extremely open to travel and i love animals (no, i dont wanna be a vet!)
