Has anyone had any experience driving a cab for a living? I'm in Orange County, CA but could commute to L.A. if necessary. I'm building a business and need income in the mean time. I considered driving a cab because of the cash tips and ease of leaving a job like that when things get started with the business. What are your thoughts?

Too many cabs get held up dangerous job. Bar tending & resturants r better.

This guy will probably end up in jail one day, but he did have some great ideas about making money driving a Taxi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wade_Cook). He said the way to make money is in the short runs, not the long runs. You increase your monthly income by 4-5 times that way.
