I currently have a bachelor's in business, and work in advertising. I don't really want to teach, but I wouldn't mind a job at a school. I want time off to travel and work on starting a business.

Most administrative positions that I've looked at in schools/universities are year round.

any job that is "seasonal" . You have a BA in business i suggest you start your own pertaining to advertising. Think Big, be positive and you will do it. If you want it all, then have it all.

Otherwise your not going to get exactly what you want, ultimately in the job category you want hon. I mean there are only certain industries that offer seasonal jobs...you said you don't really want to teach but that you wouldn't mind a job at school....what type of experience do you have though? Good luck.

Schools have secretaries, increasingly a computer expert, those lab rats who wheel stuff around, lunch ladies, and people who clean them.

If I ever worked in a school again, I'd teach, because it pays the best (most principals are former teachers). Of course, teaching gives you almost no free time (marking papers, etc).

There are probably more jobs that give you winters off (and that will mean cheaper travel). If you work at a tourist resort, a beach, in a shop in a touristy area, a wildlife park, or other places, they don't need as many people in the winter.

Of course, ski resorts in many places give you summers off. So does snow clearing for local government. Seasonal jobs tend to be pretty badly paid though (compared to advertising).
