I just started a job.

I'm a smoker

I get 15 minute break and a lunch each day, and I would love to use these breaks to smoke.

I'm afraid that my manager will look down on me or something... I dont know. what do you do? what would you do/say?

thanks--

I am a sales exec selling B2B and have been invited to go for an interview at Foxtons, the estate agent as a negotiator. Any one work for them and give me an honest insight? their website looks great and it sounds great, but i like to make sure. Also any tips on how to impress at the interview, i have good interview techniques already, but anything relevant to Foxtons would help, thanks.

There are potential changes to my current position and I would like to know what specifically distinquishes a position from salary and hourly. The position is currently hourly and the new position will require more travel. At the present, I won't be supervising anyone (other than temps) but it could grow so that at least one person would be under me (distant future).

I spent the last year and a half teaching in Asia. I recently came home within the last 2 months. Although I am currently employed (went back to my old job) I am looking for something that is more specific and that is attainable

Actually what I really need is someone to critique my Resume and offer advice on what would be a good area for me to pursue. Additionally, if there is something wrong with my resume?

I can forward my resume to those who offer their help.

I apologize for sounding a little desperate and lost.

Your help is kindly appreciated.

My friend talked about how his first job was really boring to him. He works at this document company thing where they copy or scan documents for a certain client. My friend tells me that it's so damn boring that he does it for 8 hours a day copying or scanning documents but he gets paid well. So then he decided to quit the job. So what do you think, was leaving the job worth it or what?

We have an employee that shows up late, calls in on Fridays, has a lousy attitude and does not do very good work. We have also smelled booze on her some days.
She must have figured out we wanted to get rid of her, because she filed a sexual harrassment claim against one of the team leaders she works for (tactical on her part, because I think she knows it will make it harder for us to get rid of her).

Need ideas on ways to make her quit or to fire her and not have her qualify for unemployment.

We are a small company and can't afford the dead weight... she's trouble.
