I imagine that you want the letter to arrive speedily, but, if I were the interviewer, I might be more impressed with a hand-written letter which you could then deliver to the human resource office. Unless the company is one that is totally technology-oriented, I think that an email might be regarded as far too casual, and, besides, if the interviewer did not then print it, its fate could easily be "out of sight, out of mind", whereas, a real letter might make a lasting impression. If you would rather type the letter, just hand sign it, then.

for great communication especially a thank you letter to a company is better to do in person. sending a thank you email is impersonal. you may even earn more points for sending the letter in person. for interviews the first impression is what gets u the job and theres not much people i think that send thank u letters for an interview. good luck!

It is much more personal and classy to actually drop off a hand-written letter, or you could snail- mail it and really make an impression.
Email just doesn't mean too much in this case.
Good luck with your job search. Have a good day.

In my city the snail mail can take 3 days just to get across town.
So a thank you by email is quite normal.
It works too cause I have gotten several jobs by emailling thank you letters.

Send a letter. It shows that you are paying attention to detail, cordial, and well mannored. An email can be looked over and deleted without second thought. A letter on the other hand forces the person to look at it.

email is faster yes, but if you actually put the letter in the mail it will seem more professional plus it will only take a day to get there assuming you interviewed in the same area that you live.

Drop it off. Taking the time to mail it looks a lot more personable than an email. Put it in the mail tomorrow morning because you don't want it to get there tomorrow, you want it to get there the next day or so.

What was you impression of the company, tech Savoy or old school. You won't be wrong either way, one is more personal and the other is more efficient. Good Luck!
