...and you get into the real world, how bad is it? Am I going to be fighting to stay alive for every breath to just to pay the rent and get basic provisions? Will my survival be at the mercy of an idiot boss who delights in the torture of his employees? Is it going to be an inferno, a roast, or just a slow grill? Is it that bad even in the richest country in the world?

When applying for jobs with the state or some banks, they want to know the exact dates (no estimating) of employment, your exact title, and your starting & ending salary of every job you've ever held even if it was over 30 years ago and you only worked 1 day there. How in the world do they think you can possibly find this? Does anyone know if there are resources available? Don't know where to start!!! HELPPPPPPPPPP!

what could be the better answer if the recruiter asks you about the reasons for shifting the job. (This is especeially for the guys who keep on changing their jobs).

This student is a 20 unit UCLA Law major who needs money but can't even work a part-time job. Without inculding college debt, this student needs 1.5k every month(rent, car, gas, food, insurance, utilities). A part-time min-wage job is not an option due to class load and $400-$500 isn't worth negitive effects on performance.

Thus, I'm asking for out of the box ideas. No "get a job at McDonalds" or "Spend less money". Those have already been thought of and done.

I work in an office setting at a newspaper. I spend about half my shift moving around the department, working with clients and advertising reps. Every morning, they turn the heat on in my department, and it becomes extremely hot. The thermostat says the temp in my department is 85 degrees right now -- extremely uncomfortable when you're wearing slacks, a button up shirt and a tie. Virtually every person who visits my department instantly mentions how hot it is. I brought this electronic thermostat thing I have to see if it really was 85 degrees, thinking the one in my office might be broken, and it confirmed the temp. I know it's winter but it doesn't get that cold in Oregon and the heat in this department makes me feel very nauseated and gives me headaches. Only two people out of 25 in my dept. can adjust the heat controls but they sit in areas of the department that aren't as hot. I have to beg them every day to change it but the next day it's back on. How can I put an end to this?

I am a Canadian-American dual-citizen with a bachelor of science in meteorology from an American university. I wish to live and work in Japan, but not as an English teacher. Preferably, I'd like a weather forecasting job, but any science job would do, I guess. I can't find any science jobs in Japan open to foreigners. Please help.

The only jobs I've been able to find involve social work but that's not for me. I'm planning to go back to school in the future but in the meantime I want to gain some real world experience. I'm really interested in neuroscience but every entry level job requires experience.
