min wage just went up and was affective in January. it's allready in effect. I know, I just got a 15 cent raise because of it.

A federal minimum wage increase has not yet passed that I'm aware of but is in discussion. Here in CA, the minimum wage increased to $7.50 effective Jan. 1, 2007 and will increase to $8.00 on Jan. 1, 2008.
