The question about taking a polygraph test is not illegal, but the others are. I would seriously reconsider whether or not you would want to go to work for them. If you want recourse you could file a complaint with the Labor Department in your area or the E.E.O.C. for illegal hiring practices.

Generally, most employers cannot require potential employees to take a polygraph exam. The other questions are strange, but not illegal. Depending on the kind of job you are applying for, there may be a need for some background questions. An illegal question is one that would give them any basis for discrimination - religion, age, sexual orientation, race. If you are asked any questions like that, they need to be reported to the Department of Labor.

I'm not sure what context your speaking of, if you don't want to answer the questions then don't. If your thinking of a lawsuit, forget it. Unless you can prove they were asking you questions that involve protected groups, (disabled, age, marital status) and then that you were unlawfully not hired for those specific reasons. Even then, your looking at it on your own, no decent attorney will take the case. If it's just bugging you then call the Department of Labor & Industries and file a complaint.
