Not if you are 1/2 as good as Ed Bradley was.
Best of luck, I have no idea.

Not easy. Are you talking about print, or tv, or something else? but it's also hard to stay a journalist. This is a gross generalization, but it's hard to make a decent living at journalism, and the competition for those job that pay well is really, really fierce. Also, often the hours can be very irregular--late nights, weekends, holidays. A lot of people go into journalism after college and then move into something else after a few years, because of the pressures of marriage and family make it seem more attractive to take a job in PR.

hard, no, but you must have: very good writing and editing skills (AP style), the ability to multi-task, guts to ask the tough questions, the drive to get the story, the ability to be unbiased, knowledge of the latest technology in journalism (also helps to know layout design, photography in case it's between hiring you, or the other guy). i'm sure there's more that isn't coming to me right now, but you get the idea. anyone can be a writer, it just depends how far you want to take it. you can work for the hillbilly times, or CNN. it's up to you.
