i have a lot of credit bills to pay. and these low hourly rate and less than 40 hours don't help. employment agencies are also low on jobs. this high paying but nasty jobs in alaska might slove the problem but i don't want to leave my mail behind , after all i am going upthere for them. i want to some wedsites that offer job search or guidefor these jobs but did not answer this one question.
does anyone have a sugguestion.

The food company is one of the largest in the continent while the holding company is 1/5th its size. Consider all other factors the same. Which company should I pursue? The brand name of the food company is much better than the unknown holding company. I like to pursue any industry.

I was offered the chance to go work in our Indianapolis office, it probably would mean advancement. But I don't even know if this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I kind of fell into this career. My niece is having a baby and I wouldn't mind going to live in Seattle. I lived there before and really miss it.

The lady in the next cubicle is VERY gassy during the first few days of the month. I don't know why but I DO know that her condition disrupts my concentration and often causes me to go into fugues where I black out and cannot remember hours at a time.

I don't blame the poor lady for a second...and I have PLENTY of personal time to use...still I don't know if it is 'moral' to use it for this reason.

Your thoughts?

Not sure if anyone can help me understand this or not but thought I'd try anyways. I started a new job, a salary position at a car dealership in the Service Dept. and I've never been salary before in my life. I was freaking out tring to understand the pay plan they gave me. (they used January as the month on paper)
The paper listed a month salary (real small amount) and a long list of all sorts of bonuses & at the bottom it said "total mthy compensation" $2499...minus "monthly draw" of $1700....the last line read total mthly bonus $799. What exactly is "mthly draw"?
We get paid bi-weekly....from what I do understand the first payday I get a small check...then the 2nd payday I get the same small check.... plus a bonus check. Is the "mthly draw" of $1700 the 2 small checks? Then the bonus check is what's left over? Anyone familiar with this type of pay who may help me better understand? I'll feel like an idiot asking my boss to explain it yet again. Thank You

I'm currently an intern at an American firm. I'm working hard in the hope that the company absorbs me as a full-time person. But the last week I noticed that my boss has been sending me emails about other companies & positions. He told me he's evaluating his options & also told me not to put all my eggs in one basket.

I was laid off from my civil service county job 1 1/2 years ago and decided as my wife had a good teacher job that i would stay home with our 2 kids and save on daycare etc. Now with one starting school in september i am ready to go back to work. any suggestions or ways to change my resume? not sure how to handle this and avoid making it seem like a negative.
