The food company is one of the largest in the continent while the holding company is 1/5th its size. Consider all other factors the same. Which company should I pursue? The brand name of the food company is much better than the unknown holding company. I like to pursue any industry.

Food conglomerate, no contest. Go with the bigger company since it will give your career the best boost ever.

The pay is unlikely to be the same in two such different companies. Would a significant pay difference matter to you? Have you met anyone at either company? Did they seem genuinely friendly to you, or just playing the role? Are there more opportunities for advancement at one? The bigger company may have more jobs available, but your work may be noticed more at the smaller.
In other words, you can't make the decision on just the size of the company.
