I am a busser at a resturant. I am currently making over the minimum wage and making a part of the waiters tips. Should my tips be taxed?

Legally the tips are taxable. If your employer is not witholding taxes from the tips or they are making you claim the tips then withholding extra fro your hourly rate, you are paying taxes on them and usually they withhold too much. So when you file your return for the year you will likely get a refund.

Taxation is done based on the accounted money and your tips cannot be accounted therefore they cannot be taxed unless you reveal it to the authorities and this you should do if your tips are giving you big money through which you want to buy some properties otherwise simply spend it on daily chores and nothing is required to be taxed.

I'm a busboy too, and mine aren't taxed...but I make less than minimum wage, so I don't know if that makes a difference.
