I do not want to say that I am moving to another company (even if I am) because it will hurt the feelings of my current employer. I just need great tips on how to write a resignation letter which is sensitive to their feelings. thanks.

Just focus on your opportunities in the other company you are going to rather than make a laundry list of your complaints in your current company. You only answer to yourself and no one else. As long as you part ways in a professional manner, without burning any bridges, you will be fine.

I would suggest that you talk to your boss and say that it was a very difficult decision, but you would have to move to another company to attain your personal dreams. Thank your boss for all the guidance and offer to transfer your job in the smoothest possible manner.

You don't need to say anything.

Is there any reason that would keep you at your current company? Write something thanking them for the opportunity to work there, for the experience you had, but that you are now seeking new opportunities.

Please do not concern yourself about their feelings. If money was tight, you would be laid off in a second. The Ford Motor Company, right now, is planning to discharge 20,000 people to reduce costs, while paying executives bonuses.

Your boss will probably want to know why, did he say something that offended you, did something, or didn't do something. He or she is trying to understand, and you should give him a honest answer.

First of all, handwrite your note, do not type it on a computer, it seems too impersonal. Next write why you are leaving, also write how you have benefited or what you have gained from working at your soon to be ex employer. Sign with thanks for the opportunity, and then your name

Just tell them that you are leaving and maybe even tell them why. Thank them for the time you have been there and wish them luck:)
