i would pay you to snowblow my driveway or shovel off my roof or split my firewood or smack the ice off my porch steps or shovel the frozen hay out of my chicken coop, well you get the idea...

What is best for me might not be best for you. You have two options... (a) work for someone else; or (b) work for yourself. If you want the security of working for someone else, talk to your school's guidance counselors office. Alot of times local employers will call the school for help in retail sales, inventory, stock work, or whatever needs they have. You will need a work permit so the school can help you with that. If you want to work for yourself, you'll have to find out what you're best at and what kind of business you can startup. Let's say you want to teach classes on computers ... get a legitimate business license to reduce your taxes. Your county will help with the licenses. Your local library will have a number of books on teens & businesses. The Junior Achievement Center (link below) can also help you brainstorm with other entrepreneural teens in your area.
