...does that mean he's politely saying that he doesn't want you at his place anymore?

I'm currently an intern at an American firm. I'm working hard in the hope that the company absorbs me as a full-time person. But the last week I noticed that my boss has been sending me emails about other companies & positions. He told me he's evaluating his options & also told me not to put all my eggs in one basket.

Maybe he knows that it is not in their budget to keep you on. That is the problem with temproary jobs. Maybe he really likes you and wants to see you succeed so that is why he is sending you these emails. Sit down and talk to him. Ask him if there is a chance that you will be able to become a permanant employee.

You have a good boss. He knows that there's a bigger world out there that you need to experience. Go for it! See what awaits. You will be glad you did.
