Why do some places hire you if they don't put you on the sheets if they don't have many hours to spare?

I gust got hired in and I only have 14hours why would they work ya?I don't understand that.I am already looking for a new job.It gust hard times.

Could it possibly be that you are still in training? Talk to your boss. Once you are fully trained, you will probably be getting more hours.

Any job that hires you is for the benefit of the company, not for YOUR benefit. A good company would have told you the hour requirements and what was available up front.
