Advantages:
1. Income.
2. Keeps you out of trouble.
3. May provide skills useful later in career such as sales or office skills.
4. May make important friends that will be valuable in life.
Disadvantages:
1. May effect school work.
2. Will cut into social life.

Part-time jobs give students a different experience, a different avenue to develop skills. It can even become one's vocation. It can be gratifying to get positive feedback and work alongside adults. It forces you to structure your time better because you know you have other commitments than family and school.
