I was hired under a certain set of circumstances; i.e., I negotiated and accepted the position based on those. After six months, none of the agreed upon benefits, conditions, etc have been met by my employer. It's time to part ways. I've brought this up several times--documented in email form--and if they aren't going to live up to their half of the bargain, do I have to give the customary notice?

It completely slipped my mind and I neglected to include unemployment wages for two months in 2006 (totaling $2,720). Total wages reported were $61,000, what should I do? Will my e-file be rejected? If not, how do you recommend I make the adjustment and when? ughhhhh

I was considering, looking for a new job but I had been rejected because of my bad credit. Should I keep my current job until I get this bill paid off? I have about a year.left. Is a wage garnishment a bad sign for a new employee joing a new company?

I live in St.Tammany Parish in Louisiana and my girlfriend and I are in desperate need of a job. We are a VERY close couple and want to work together so badly! We have worked together once before, and it worked out very well. We completed all of the tasks assigned to us and showed no signs to customers that we were a couple. Although we are both seniors in high school, we are very responsible and hard-working. Is there anyone out there who could help us out? Thank you. This would help so much!

I worked at a salon as a receptionist and my boss did not take taxes out on me. I only made 6,000. I just had a baby in September and only made 600.00 at my new job where they take out taxes. Will I get money or owe money?

I currently have a job that pays okay but my manager is not very reasonable to work with about time off etc. I have worked overtime for ten months and occasionally need to leave early for a dr. appt etc and ask for a day or two off twice since I went to work here. I work my butt off and asked for a raise and got shot down saying they they don't give raises just occasional bonuses. I have new job that I have been offered. Here is the aspects of both jobs... should I go?

New Job-
Pros- No overtime, a week off at Christmas with pay, paid vacation, no weekends, and flexibilty and time off when needed within reason. Cons- $2 less per hour.
Current Job- Pros- 2 dollars more an hour, and bonus occasionally. Cons-
Hassel when asking for time off, two Sat a month, Two Sat a month, No growth potential(Raises are bonuses given) no base pay raises, Christmas day off only, constant overtime, further from home.

Should I take the new job?

I got offered a job today. The role is quite good and I would learn a lot of relevant skills. It is paying a grand less than I was hoping for though, and is only for 6 months (initially).

Thing is I've seen another job advertised which is similar but more related to what I really want to do. It is also about 15 miles closer to home and is permanent. And, I should be able to get that extra grand out of them. They want someone with an English degree though (which I haven't got, though I do have experience they are after).

What should I do? Do I turn down the job I've been offered (which I was happy with til I saw the 2nd job), apply for the other role and keep my fingers crossed I get it, or should I just take the job I've been offered?

la la la

I hate making any decision, and this is a big one!

I started a new job about 2 1/2 months ago. There are about 10 on the team that I work with. We all work in different states (mostly office out of the home) and get together about 1 time a month. I don't think they think I fit in - but maybe I'm just paranoid.

We all got together last month for a Christmas party and they forgot me... left me behind several times (for ex. I volunteered to go get info they needed right before we were to go for lunch - I came back and they were gone - I had no idea where we were supposed to meet for lunch). There seems to be a few that pair up as a group, which I totally understand... but they are the ones that drive the group. I sometimes get comments that sound demeaning to what I just said when we are on conference calls, too.

But I'm not sure if I am being paranoid or if it is what is actually happening. I left a job managing marketing for a company for 7 years for this one. I loved everyone there and didn't have this issue. What do you think?

So basically I have been searching for work since I graduated in May 2006. I search Hotjobs, CareerBuilder, Monster, NYTimes, Entertainment Careers, Craigslist, you name it. I have interviewed with top companies such as The Street and Ascap but have been finding no success finding a job. Are there other resources I should look into? I am a music business major, interned and held an executive board member position at my college radio station but it seems when I apply for positions either I am told I am overqualified or underqualified. It seems no one wants to hire a college grad yet I am constantly asked why i havent been working. I think it's obvious too little jobs too many people and I live in New York where many people from different areas are applying. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
