I'm in my early 30s and thinking of a career change to get into advertising field. Do you think I'm too old/ too late to do it? I don't mind starting low and taking a pay cut to fulfill my dreams but what will potential employers think? Lastly, what can I do to enter advertising, specifically copywriting.

Does this cases really exist very often? Or is it just me in my work that my boss is very tough? Is it worth it to quit even if your getting a good pay? (I really want to quit, I can't stand my work anymore, I feel very awful the way I'm treated)...I want to see if people have similar cases or is it very common that all bosses are like that? I'm scared that my next job is the same....Thank you I'll apreciate your answers....

I am thinking about going to school to become an x-ray tech. The only thing that scares me is the fact that I'm not so great in math. I mean, I'm not just retarted when it comes to math but its definitely not my strong point. Someone told me there is SOOO much math involved which is fine if I can understand it. I also looked at a radiology textbook and it seemed pretty hard. Anyway, has anyone out there been to x-ray tech school? Is it really that bad or am I making a big deal about nothing?

I'm a sophmore at nyu and i'm currently getting ready to do interviews with business firms. Is there anything that i should really look up and memorize before I go to the interview? I know some things to keep in mind are the current interest rate and basic microeconomic knowledge. But is there anything else that I should prepare for beforehand? Thanks.

I have longest departmental tenure (over 5 years). She has 6 mts. Doesn't appear she got much training prior to my promotion, and is resentful about that but that was not my fault. She acts defiant at times and flip. I've tried to help her but she doesn't seem appreciative. She seems to resent me; she always tells me about her Grad School degree. I'm not impressed, however. It has no bearing on the work she does either. So, any ideas?

I have a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from a university in the U.S. and currently have US citizenship. I want to obtain citizenship in Ireland for both my daughter and myself. Thanks.

Im currently working as a Verizon Wireless CCR......but my hours force me away from my kids. I work 9:30am-6:30pm. I leave shortly after they wake up and I drop my son off at school. And as soon as I get off I make the 30 minute round trip from work to my moms to pick them up and then home to make dinner and give baths then its bedtime, and I do it all over again the following days. I would prefer to work at home. I know there are many legitimate jobs out there....but I have no idea where to start. Any suggestions and information about where to look preferably from work from home moms would be greatly appreciated. Im willing to pay a minimal starter fee if needed but would prefer one that is free to join and start. Thank you.

I found several cases that have this written on the side. It was in the basement of a house that I bought from a VA foreclosure. It has never been opened and I thought it might be more valuable unopened, but I need to know what it is first.

Thanks for your help - I will be quite specific as you don't know me so I feel comfortable sharing.

1. My current job pays 37500 no bonuses no commissions
offer is 35000 with bonuses and commissions (target 50-60k)

2. Current job title FAR more impressive then future as I hope to become a C-Level exec in future...

3. No expectations really in current job, therefore no opportunity for advancement or recognition
Future job - certain number of calls per day (30, quite low) and possible advancement. I am not sure I like cold calling although...

4. Current job - Boss who i am 100% certain that I am smarter then (boss is mid level manager and steals my ideas)
Future job - boss APPEARS to be quite smart

5. Current job not all that terrible, but I feel that company does not value my position. Also, I took a 17,000 pay cut to work here.

The real dilemma is that I have been here for only 9 months - will it get better or should I run?. Should I stay or should I go?

Currently, I'm considering studying theology as a major or a minor, and I was curious to see what kind of jobs I could get if I got a degree in theology. If possible, please list the job, what it requires (or what the main idea is) and an estimated salary.
Thanks!

Recently I had my boss do our yearly evaluation, I was rated as average and did not get excellent marks on any of my job aspects.

I agree with her on the aspects of my performance that need to improve, what I find negative is that she did not mention a single positive attribute when before I have gotten excellent reviews from my peers and other executives.

She mentiones that I need to become an expert on my area of responsability, before I had a much larger area of accountability (where I achived a 20% growth yearly) and I was a more of a generalist, wich did not enable me to concentrate in one area.

She replaced me in my position, because the area was enlarged

She seemed very future oriented on what I can achieve, but the thing that puzzles me is that she did not mention anything positive.

How should I take it? Should I try to improve and be positive, or have reality check and move to another company.

Your advise and experience will be appreciated
