I have to say that if you have been an independent contractor and home business owner most of your adult life, then working for someone can turn into stress because it messes with your mind. No matter how nice your boss is, how nice your secretary is, no matter how easy the work is etc.
As a favour to a friend, I was hired as a tax assistant and it was so easy it was stress free for a little while. Then I started stressing over how much I hated feeling like I was in captivity for a pay check I really didn't need. I began to feel like I had cabin fever. Then I became stressed. So, I began making miner mistakes so that they could let me go, like... typos and such.
They let me go.. Whew! That was a huge reality check on what I can and can't handle.

I think a stress free job is one where you are doing what you like doing at a level that challenges you. If you have job satisfaction this goes a long way. Stress is caused by inner conflicts, Other people, or unrealistic pressure from managers so you have to look for a job where you would be working in a style that suits you. Look for what stresses you and try to avoid the kind of work that causes that stress.

Yes my current job is the best job ever.....well for me anyway. I get paid a decent wage, finish early every friday, surf the internet chat to my mate in the same office and do hardly any work all day.
I know it would probably drive most people mad not having hardly anything to do but for me its fine lol
