I started a new job about 2 1/2 months ago. There are about 10 on the team that I work with. We all work in different states (mostly office out of the home) and get together about 1 time a month. I don't think they think I fit in - but maybe I'm just paranoid.

We all got together last month for a Christmas party and they forgot me... left me behind several times (for ex. I volunteered to go get info they needed right before we were to go for lunch - I came back and they were gone - I had no idea where we were supposed to meet for lunch). There seems to be a few that pair up as a group, which I totally understand... but they are the ones that drive the group. I sometimes get comments that sound demeaning to what I just said when we are on conference calls, too.

But I'm not sure if I am being paranoid or if it is what is actually happening. I left a job managing marketing for a company for 7 years for this one. I loved everyone there and didn't have this issue. What do you think?

you still the new kid on the block and somebody is jealous, if not envious of you and is trying to fix your clock. Watch your back

you could be paranoid but most likely not...they sound very mean and I wouldn't want to work for them anymore so I would start looking for a new job or maybe the one that you just had (depending on how you left ex. fired, resigned, let go) but really look for a new job that sounds interesting and before you start maybe go meet the people and see how nice and inviting they are

i would go about your buisness and ignore them. you're probably right, they're snubbing you.give it some time.i would also make yourself too busy to go to any office functions for awhile.let them think that you are not interested or to busy.or if you have to go to stuff, bring a friend for moral support.
