My boss and I have locked horns before in the past but the last couple months i have been sick, and she's being a real pain in the bottom. in November, I started to have problems breathing, i went to urgent care and to my doctor twice and they didn't help me, but i started to miss work and ended up at the hospital for 4 days with double pneumonia, before all that went down my boss kept acting like it was all in my head, and when i was in icu with double pneumonia my mom called into my job to let them know and my boss said, 'oh i guess she really was sick.' well i went back to work still haveing trouble breathing, but i go in, last week i came down with the flu and had to miss wed, thurs, fri, and sat, and can't get into the dr's office until this coming thursday, well she was quick today to write me up for missing work, has yet to ask me how i'm feeling, and puts me on jobs that require a lot of moving and make me short of breath... I like my job just dont like my boss what should i do

I recently quit my job. I worked a JCPenney for almost 6 months, but I hated it. I am looking for a new job, but I'm not sure what's offered to me. I know retail is an obvious answer, and so is waitressing, but I can't think of anything else that I might be able to do. Neither of the previously stated options are incredibly appealing to me, and I wanted to know if anyone has any ideas on what I could do for work that DOESN'T involve anything sexual!

I have been working for a company for over a year now and recently(3-4 months ago) started feeling like some of my co-workers(some equal some above me, but not my boss) have been trying to get me to either quit or get fired. I have fallen behind on filing(not that urgent compared to my other duties) but other than that it has been issues with clients paying their invoices which is not my fault if they dispute the charges( I just invoice what I am instructed to). I was off for vacation last week and when I got back it started again, These co workers could not find something on my desk and so called my boss, then emailed her boss and kept going up so today she was forced to send someone down to help me out, and she was ready to leave in an hour because it really was not bad, but she had to stay because "they" were watching. I went to lunch with her and she told me that my boss and her both got the feeling that they wanted me gone. I don't get it. So, should I tough it out or give up???

I started a new job 5 months ago and have a manager that is one of those micromanagers. She watches everything I do, she follows me around the office, she peeks over the cube into mine, she reads things off my desk (personal and business), she asks "what are you doing" every other minute... Naturally, she got a promotion and it's become even worse. Plus, she gives me all her work to do while she does nothing and sleeps at her desk! I haven't caught her yet but others have.

I've talked to her manager about her twice already and he's spoken to her but I haven't seen any changes. He also told me, in so many words, that I need to figure out how to get along with her.

Today she belittled me in a meeting and blamed errors on me when I wasn't involved in the creation of the document, she was. I've had it.

My question...do I go to her manager again and suggest having me report to someone else? Others have witnessed her behavior. Don't know what to do anymore.

to prove they aren't illegal imigrants. The bosses want to see a passport or birth certificate and say a 2 part drivers licence is not acceptable. - Is this true? Sorry to ask more than one question.

Surely it is up to the bosses to find out - after all, they do have the employees national insurance number.

UK question: It's been nearly three months and I've kept in contact with them and they even gave me a bit of holiday pay which was nice. But I'm still owed about £250 and they're not being helpful at all, they're not getting back to me, I've rang them countless times and still = no payslip and no pay. What can I do to make them pay? Should I take them to court? Or is there an easier way?

Cheers for any help

I got interviewed over the phone by HR for a big company on Dec. 12. I want to write a thank you letter as well as ask if they have spoken with the director about my resume and see if I will be getting an onsite interview. I want to write this so that they dont feel I'm asking them whether im selected or not...so I want it to be a subtle question within the thank you letter. Please give me your suggestions or letters you may have written. Thank you.

My boss recently asked me to take on another project/program which wasn't in my job description. The thing is, there is no raise to go with it and I am already working for minimum wage and have too much responsibility. How much credibility does the job description have? How should I handle this?

So I had an interview today and I'm not really sure how it went,I think okay. But when they called me to ask for references they said "just because we are asking for references does not mean we are moving ahead... we are hiring a number of ppl and we'll let you know asap" ... does this mean I likely didnt get the job?
