I'm still working now (and it's only my first job and it's a short-term assignment), but I want to send my resumé to get a weekend parttime job.

What should I write under Job experience? (or I should leave it blank?) Is it disadvantageous to myself to let the company I'm applying for know that I am already employed elsewhere at the moment?

Thanks!

I've been unemployed since just before Christmas, and have so far not signed on - it's something I would like to avoid if possible. I have some saving, and although I realise they won't last, I think I will be okay for quite a while (I live at home with my parents so I don't have any major outgoings). However, my mum said something about by not signing on, I wouldn't be collecting my National Insurance stamp and I would be losing out.

you get a basic salary and have a monthly target.

you're promised commission of 5% on billings. And if u hit target 3 months in a row, u get an extra 2.5%

Say for example you only bill half your monthly target. Shouldn't they still pay you 5% on what you bill?????

I think its unfair to not pay agreed commision even if u dont hit target?

Can anyone tell me if thats normal or not?

Google was nominated for being the best Employer in America: Reasons: they believe the work environment should be fun and not stiff. They pay a fair salary to their employees, give benefits, perks and re-invest in their employees. Google made huge profits, have low turn over rates, low number of days employees call off. Do you think other employers can learn from them in being successful?

I know it's possible, but I just need a bit of a career guidance as to where to start and whether I should start in a different sector and build up the experience from there.

I really am confused. Some say that a university degree is not essential because it's a sales job, and then when I enquire about it to a certain consultancy firm, they would tell me that they only accept graduates.

Please help. Realistic answers please.

I just moved to the Seattle area (Marysville) for the chance to work for Boeing. I am a computer aided drafter with 3 years in the field and 4 years in the army as an Aircraft Pneudraulics System Tech. I also worked for a few years in the early 90's at Trans World Express/TWA. I have always loved avaition and have missed it since I got out of the army. I have my resume up on their web site but I would like to know if there is a building I can go to to drop off my information and maybe talk to a live person.

I recently revised my resume and the new version is a big improvement. I've sent the old version of my resume to a few companies. I would like to send the new version to the companies who were previously sent the old version.

Below are two different versions of the cover letter I plan to send with the updated copy of my resume. What do you think? Which one do you like better?

Please keep in mind that my previous cover letter went into detail on why I was a good fit for the job. Also, keep in mind that the old resume was sent less than two weeks ago.

You will notice that Version A does not mention the fact that I have revised the resume.

I was promised a franchise from a very large company and called over a managers head that became upset and delayed/destroyed any chance of a franchise offer. During the delay I was told employment would start any time as to lead me on for a extended period of time costing me great expense an time. I missed most of my sons senior year of high school and my other sons sports. My question is how much money would be enough (when hate is in my heart) to let bygones be bygones. I relocated and moved 400 miles to start a new life that never happened and got in to deep to turn back. My expenses are about 100k, 2 years and broken dreams.

I will be interviewing subjects for the book. The subjects need to understand that I am writing the book to make money and they are volunteering their info knowing that the revenue from the book will not be distributed among those being interviewed. Also, I need to let them know that I honor complete confidentiality. Is there a template or do I need to seek a contract lawyer?

well lets see.. I worked some fast food and cashier jobs when I was a teenager living at home. Then after I turned 18 I got a job at a sewing factory (wasn't for me) cuz I only lasted 3 months. So I went to another factory and worked there for about 4 years until after I got married and had 2 children. My oldest is in school and my youngest is still at home. But this setting at home making no money is getting old. So I am looking to go back to work but I really don't wanna go back to doing any of other the jobs I have already done. I would like to work in an office or something of the sort. I would like to work morning to around 5'ish. I only have a high school diploma. So would I need to go to college or is there any jobs like the ones I mentioned that only require a high school diploma?
