My boss and I have locked horns before in the past but the last couple months i have been sick, and she's being a real pain in the bottom. in November, I started to have problems breathing, i went to urgent care and to my doctor twice and they didn't help me, but i started to miss work and ended up at the hospital for 4 days with double pneumonia, before all that went down my boss kept acting like it was all in my head, and when i was in icu with double pneumonia my mom called into my job to let them know and my boss said, 'oh i guess she really was sick.' well i went back to work still haveing trouble breathing, but i go in, last week i came down with the flu and had to miss wed, thurs, fri, and sat, and can't get into the dr's office until this coming thursday, well she was quick today to write me up for missing work, has yet to ask me how i'm feeling, and puts me on jobs that require a lot of moving and make me short of breath... I like my job just dont like my boss what should i do

you sound to me like a nice person, your boss sounds to me like a not so nice person, whatever you decide to do about your job/boss is not as important as your health. If your a smoker, know would be a good time to quit.If not then you better start getting serious about takeing care of yourself.Double pneumonia is nothing to take lightly, it can kill you. The fact that you say you have the flu on top of it,worries me even more. Jobs and bosses come and go ,but when you lose your health, now you got problems. Good luck and take care of yourself.

Workplace bullies can never change. Unless they are removed from that position. Most of them are prone to major personality disorders. Get another job, even if (or just in case) your petitions against your boss don't work out. Life is too short to suffer emotional harassment. One must live with dignity.

your boss has every right to be upset. you being sick costs them money. its a pain in their ***. What they want is a worker who will suck it up and do the job. Ive had the flu and gone in to work. It sucks. Suck it up. If youre that sick and you come in anyways youll A: show them you want the damn job, B: care about your work, and C: arent a wuss. If youre really that sick then theyll send you home when you get there.

dont be a morron quite and get another job. i was in a job years ago that made me physically sick. i would either quite or go on a medical discharge if i was you. you can get workmans compensation for that. you got to talk to a workmen comp lawyer for specifics.
