Quick question. I have an interview on Monday. It would require me to drive 270 miles one way. I haven't been offered reimbursement for mileage or a hotel stay. I would rent a car since mine is slightly older, and I would be afraid to drive it that far. If they would reimbuse mileage, it would pay for itself. The job is with my current company. I would be traveling from Philly to Pittsburgh. I am having second thoughts about it. Should I make a convenient excuse until this is resolved? It sounds like a good oppurtunity, but I am hesitant to lay out that money with no guarantee of a job. It would be nice if they would have done a telephone interview to screen me beforehand to make sure it is worth my while to travel out there..any thoughts?

to go. What would you suggest? Calling in sick - and if so what reason? Just tell them I have an appointment (even though they KNOW I'm looking for another job?) Is car care a good enough excuse? HELP!

I recently relocated to Huntington Beach from CT, the main reason was to get out of the northeast. I am curious if anyone can help me by referring a headhunter agency to me. I am a health care insurance professional with management experience and would like to find an agency that gets paid by the employer, rather than a $2,000-$4,000 fee from me (which I've been quoted by some). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

As a recent college grad that almost never took an 8 am class because it was to early I now have a job i have to be at 8:30. I get to work on time or close to it they aren't strick strick on my job. When i was in school i had to withdraw because of lack of attendance. I know you get paid for work so that motivates you , but you pay to go to school why would you not get your moneys worth. I am not the only one this happens to. i know a few people who can't take early classes

Ok, well I've been working at Taco Bell for a little over a year now. My boss seems to have a huge power trip and loves ordering people around. This is normal in the world of fast food. However, every now and then when I mess up an order he puts me on "urinal duty" for the rest of my shift. He has me replace the urinal cakes and scrub out the urinals in the men's room. Now he doesn't assign this to anyone else but me. What's the deal?

I just started a new job 1 month ago. I work in a small branch office with a total of 3 people as office staff and 3 in and out people. About 2 weeks ago another new girl started as office staff too. Our positions are equal. At first I assumed that her failure to "jump in" was the fact she was so new. Now I'm just annoyed.
She sits at her desk and does "busy work" on the computer all day. She uses this as an excuse not to answer the phone sometimes. She takes super long breaks (20 min) where she just "hangs out" with our in and out people but when she leaves the office she says she has to ask so and so a question and she'll be right back. She was actually filing her nails while with a client today. She does all of this when our supervisor is out of the office.
They don't even have this girl doing deposits yet (something I did on my first day). She just doesn't take initiative. I had decided to give the issues time to see if they resolved themselves but............continued

I'm just going to do it until April, because I'm also going to be a security correctional officer at the prison unit. So I basically trying to hustle up, and save do you think this the best way of saving.
