I am an American citizen who spent a considerable amount of time in Europe over the past five or six years. I lived in France for two years while doing some undergraduate work and my masters degree. I have also done an internship and a high school exchange program in Spain. I am currently living in the Basque Country and studying in an intensive Basque language school with the hopes of passing the government Basque language exam, which is needed for most jobs here. I want to live and work in Europe, preferably in the Basque Country, but I am also open to other locations, especially in Spain, France, or Italy. What do I need to do to find a job overseas? What do I need to do to get a work permit here? When you are looking for a job, you need to have a work permit, but in order to the work permit, you need to have a job, so it's essentially a catch 22. Has anyone been in this situation? Advice? Ideas? Thanks.

I am working with a company and happy right now. I am being called from my previous company to work in their bungalow. The nature of job is entirey different and like an assistant in the home but the pay offered is attractive. I am not able to take a decision. Is there a change in my horoscope and should i accept that new offer being made by my previous employer?

As I have found out through checking investment banks' websites, all (as far as I know) are unwilling to take anyone with less than an undergraduate for work experience, due to the damnding nature of the job. I'm only 16, having taken a GCSE in Graphic Products (acheiving an A*) and will hopefully obtain another 9 more A*s. However, I have little to show at the moment other then an impressive CV - does anyone have any ideas?

I CHATTED MY ONE BOSS (MARK) ABOUT THIS LAZY GUY "RENE"
I TOLD HIM OF HIS 60 OR 90 MIN LUNCHES
AND HOW A FEW TIMES HE WAS GONE OVER 2 HOURS
I TELL MARK ALL THIS AND HE SEZ ALL THIS OFFICE BS OF "RENE FEELS A COMFORT LEVEL THAT IS NOT THERE" AND HE AND THEY WILL HANDLE IT
BUT THAT IS NOT MY QUESTION

OKAY THOSE 4 OR 6 WEEKS AGO
I ALSO SAID "RENE IS PROVIDING ME WITH A SEXUALY CHARGED WORK ENVIRONMENT"
RENE USES THE SPANISH WORD "PEN NO CHE" ABOUT MANY OF THE WOMEN BEHIND THEIR BACKS
MARK SAID
"BY SAYING THAT BY LAW WE HAVE TO NOW INVESTIGATE"
HE ASKED SOME DETAILS AND SAID "LET ME GET THRU THIS DAY AND WE WILL HANDLE THIS"
THE NEXT DAY I TOLD MY BOSS (MARLENE)
SHE ASKED A FEW QUESTIONS AND BASICAlLY SAID

"LET ME GET WITH MARK BECAUSE, HE IS OFF"

"YOU ARE OFF TUES AND WED AND WE OR I WILL GET WITH YOU ON THURS"
THIS THURSDAY MEETING NEVER HAPPENED
AND IT HAS BEEN 5+ WEEKS AGO
DON'T THEY LEGALLY HAVE TO GET MY FULL STORY?
HOW CAN THEY BLOW ME OFF???

I would like to make money WHILE doing something I love. Then, again who doesn't? Anyway, I would like to do something in tourism since I want to live in a vacation spot by the beach. The thing is I want to move back to my native country and I was thinking maybe hotel management? Or a resort management? If I am not going to make that much money, then should I get a degree in business instead and be the owner? You see, I was thinking that I will need money to do this so if I get a degree in hotel or resort management then I can work and make some money and possibly start my own business than? Which will be a smarter move?

-Getting a degree in hotel or resort management?

or

-Getting a degree in business

I mean I definitely know that I want to do something with hotels and hot vacation spots. Thanks

I am relocating from Chicago to Arizona in August and I had a hard time finding a receptionist position in Chicago. I will need a full time job to pay my bills. I was wondering how difficult it was to find a clerical/administrative/customer service position out there.

I move to NYC in July. Had a summer teaching job but that ended in August. I have been unemployed or temping since then. I've sent out tons of resumes, gotten a few interviews. I have a Bachelors and Masters degree yet I can't find anything. I have a Childhood Education background but am open to almost anything interesting---marketing/advertising, event planning, etc.... Anyone know of anything/have advice? Thanks!

Today I attempted to go to work, but with the road conditions being so bad with the snow storm, I had to turn arround and come back home, which I did not want to do, but felt my safety was threatened if I continued.

I then spoke to a co-worker who told me that my employer was quite mad about this (I did reported to my supervisor I would not be in, but the executive manager was upset). This brings up a few questions that I'm looking for opinions on. Do you think employers have the right to discriminate against those who take time off? Do you think if you are an employee that does not take much time off, that employers have the right to ask for a reason when personal days are taken? I am really upset that someone would question my judgement and expect me to risk my life for some crappy little cashiering job. I'm nervous to go into work tomorrow because If he questions my judgment, I will be quite angry and insulted.
