I'm looking for a job right now and I had previously found a website of various employers with a check list and if or if not they would hire you if you had a certain type of body modification or hair color/style.

I'm the manager of a hat store. We had an Audit and some hats were missing. My manager kept asking me where the hats went and told me I must be an idiot not to know where. He asked me to explain all returns on hats that were missing and nothing showed that I had taken them. I know that I didn't steal them and nothing shows that I have. I feel that he accused me of taking them. Should I contact my human resources and tell them (also letting them know he called me an idiot).

My manager asked it I could work 10a to 8p when my schedule is 10a to 6p,I told her couldn't stay because of my babysitter and she told me that I need to be able to work whenever she needs me to even if that means to work a ten hour shift

A lot of females at my company have been passed over for promotions that they were very obviously more qualified for than the canidate who got the position. A lot of times when this person is promoted it happens to be a "buddy" of the general manager doing the promoting. This is sickening and I want to help get rid of these behaviors but also dont want to burn any proverbial bridges either.

I plan my working day at the start, switch on the comuter, ding dong, emails flying at me at the rate of nots then the phone starts to ring, then one by one staff come to me with their own issues. then i look at my watch... half an hour to go before home time so i end up staying on late or finishing of at home. This is driving me crazy. Is this the norm????

At this point in his career, Brett Favre is a coach and broadcaster killer.

Seriously, that’s what Favre does with his foolish play. He makes coaches and broadcasters look absolutely silly.

Favre’s reputation makes it impossible for coaches to actually coach him and for broadcasters to talk about his foolish play objectively.

There is virtually no difference between Favre and Michael Vick. In the NFC, the Packers could be playoff contenders if Favre would manage the game and avoid stupid turnovers. Instead, Favre just chucks the ball downfield into coverage and waits on his groupies to rationalize the mistake.

It’s not about winning with Favre right now. It’s about having a good time, having fun. His groupies in the press box love to talk about Brett’s passion for the game. How ‘bout passion for playing the game the right way? How ‘bout a passion for not being selfish?

Favre’s play is extremely selfish. Favre’s ticket to Canton has been punched. Whether Favre wants it or not, John Madden will introduce him by overstating Favre’s impact on the league.

Five quarterbacks I’d take ahead of Favre: John Elway; Joe Montana; Tom Brady; Dan Marino; and Steve Young.

In a couple years, you can add Peyton Manning to this list. And I’m sure old-timers would tell me Johnny Unitas belongs on the list.

Brett Favre is diminishing his reputation. His groupies need to inform him.

My "previous" boss and i did not see eye to eye on anything. I was very good at my customer service job and made the Co. a lot of money! All of the salesmen loved me because i am very good at what i do and i would bring them a lot of business. My boss is the most evilest ***** on earth and has no soul at all!!! I was there for 2 years (i'm 21) and not once have i gone to her office and complained about things or ratted on anyone because they talked to much or they were on their cell phone, or on the internet alot! For the first time EVER, i wrote an email to her (my manager) and our human resources department (Wednesday)explaining to them how i feel that it is unfair that certain people get to talk all day about their personal lifes, not answer any of the phones, and talk **** about people all day, while the other people have to do all the work!! And on Thursday, i get "layed off"! we aren't even slow. She just had no other grounds to fire me on! is there anything i can do legally?

I know I sound retarded for a Ph.D. with this kind of question, but... help? Please? Where do I start? I would rather go to industry than academia. My current research subject is very narrow (solids at ultra low temperature; experimentalist not theorist) and looking at general websites like yahoo.jobs or monster.com had no result so far - nothing looks like I'd be a good fit. Career fairs bring no results either. I'm supposed to graduate in 6 months and I'm starting to panic.

I find that I'm getting to work later and later. Any strategies for getting out of the house on time or early? I wake up and I don't want to move. I take the bus and various stops are close enough to my house. Another factor is motivation. How do I get motivated (thinking about rent and bills doesn't seem to be enough)?
