How would a person go about becoming a "pet pharmacist"? Is it the same schooling for a regular pharmacist?

Veternary pharmacy is a new specialty in pharmacy. To become a vet pharmacist, you must first become a regular pharmacist. Contact the Society of Veterinary Hospital Pharmacists (SVHP) or the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists (ACVP) for more information.
There's not much demand in this area of pharmacy.

I've never heard of a pet pharmacist. But I've got several animal patients.
