radiocog,
brokenhearted is correct. how many yrs in?
less than 10? don't like it - get out.
more than 10 - stay low and fast with prayers stay the course.
when you decide, get as much training for what you want to do before you get out.
as for mortgage broker , understand you will starve for 9 - 18 mths before you start bringing
in a living wage. 24 -36 mths before a aceptable wage. there are more M.B.s out fighting for fewer and fewer scraps so have a second income source.
go with knowledge do your research first.

Can you take courses towards becoming a mortgage broker while you remain in the armed forces? That was you can work towards your goal but keep your secure job. And, in the event you discover you don't want to be a mortgage broker any more, then you'll still have a good job.

First off, how long have you been in and how old are you? If you have been in for 10 years or more....STAY in. Mortgage brokers are going nowhere and it will be great to have that retirement to go along with that mortgage brokers job when you get out.

My husband is retired Air Force. Our monthly retirement pay now pays our mortgage and we will have that pay for the rest of our lives. It's great!

It's a 180 degree career switch, if you'd ask me because it's from complete stability to a completely volatile job. But go wherever your heart takes you, that's all that matters. Whatever you do, just don't habour regrets. Life is short, go wherever your heart leads you.

You keep your benefits for six months after you get out, if not dishonerably. Keep in mind your education level and try to find a college that lets veterans go to school for free. Good luck getting out. Hopefully you will!!! GOD BLESS
