Look, you're seventeen. Forget all that crap that those other people are selling you. Just mention (casually) that you're interested in hotel management. Don't stress the point too much and you're in. They aren't looking to you to head up the home office in Topeka, they're looking for a chamber maid. Seventeen year olds don't really WOW employers. They look at you like you're going to fill a spot for six months. That's all they expect from you.
That doesn't mean that you go in there stoned or wearing nose rings and stuff, but be realistic. They have a need; a dependable employee. Tell them that you're it.

1. First impression - Dress up. business attire. Be on time.
2. Prepare your resume. Know your strength and weakness. Sell your strengths :). Do your research- know about general information about the hotel (company your applying)
3. Relax during interview. So, you can think straight :).
4. Don't forget to ask about the company. Interviews should be an 2-way dialogue. Let them feel you are interested about being a part of their team.

The person who has control of a conversation is the one who asks the best questions! Here are some great ones that I look to hear from employees as a recruiter:
1. What are the three most important things you're looking for me to bring to your company?
2. What could I do in this position to put myself in line for a management position in the future?
3. How can I become the most valuable employee in your organization?
4. Ask questions about how you can specifically bring value to them.
In those initial interviews NEVER ask:
1. Well, I don't know if I can work the hours for the job.
2. What is the starting salary? I have to have $x.
3. What are your benefits I have to have health insurance.
4. Ask questions about what they are going to do for you.
That's how you WOW!

The biggest thing I am impressed by when I interview people, is when they try to really help solve the problems I throw at them - I'd recommend you do the same.
And, of course, show yourself to be energetic, professional and eager.
