ok, i dont mind wearing their sweaters or jackets but we have to pay for them and they're like 60 bucks. it comes out of our check. they said that we cant wear any jacket or sweater unless it has their logo on it and is bought from them. they also told us that we cant wear turtlenecks, thermals, or long sleeve shirts under our shirts. so it's sort of like we're obligated to buy them or we freeze our asses off if it's cold.

Before I got this job, my supervisors told me I'd be doing administrative work.

At my job so far, I had to copy a book. Then, I was given literally 100 pages of people to look up in their computer and copy down the peoples' health insurance information.

Would I be an administrative assistant? If not, what would I be?

Please don't tell me that my job is called "shіtty" or "boring" or anything along the lines of that because I know and needn't be told twice =(

This job is my sole source of income, so I just keep my mouth shut. I really would like to tell her that I don't need this kind of demoralization. It's not going to help me get it any faster. But if she gave me clearer instructions without stammering it would simplify what is expected of me. But once I get home I get these physical reactions from the stress like a really bad inflammation in my mouth, a tooth / head ache. To me, it's just another job that barely covers my living expenses. I don't learn the best under oppression. Everything I don't know already is wrong. But if it never came up, then I am not going to know it. She expects me to go digging. She (my boss) is the owner. I think I'll try to summarize everything she's expecting of me and throw it back at her to see if there is anything I left out.

What is your approach?
What have you learned that works best?
Is it best to bully back?
Does being a nice guy make you a door mat?
Do you have to be mean back?

Yesturday I had a meeting with an employee of mine in the resort where I am Operations Manager, about her need to improve. It is now approaching her 90 days and I pointed out a couple incidents where she did not get the job done and I had to pick up her slcak the next morning. In this business we can make mistakes or miss things because then the guests are the one lose. So I made it clear that there weret hings that she needed to work on. I asked her if she had anything to say and if she felt she needed more training and she said everything was fine and did not argue to anything in her defense. She was very monotone about it all. The this morning I came to work and again there were things that were not done. What do I do now? My boss tells me we need to give every opportunity to succeed, but how many more chances? I am frusterated at this point and everyone eles is to. I dont have the tactics to apporach her yet. What should I tell her?, Do I need to meet with her again?

I would be getting a small draw against commission, 2k a month. The company says they do mostly subprime loans, so there are always sales to be made, regardless of whether the real estate market is hot or not. Does every mortgage company say this? I need to make over 100k per year. I'm very aggressive on the phones and have no problem working long days. Should I do it?
