My husband work for a big company, they offer him a job in the same company in the north and right now we are in the south. So he accepted their offer and was released of his other job and then when we we're on the road for our long trip to the north to find an apartment, he got a call telling him he can't have that job anymore! We we're shocked ! Here we are in the middle of nowhere with our 3 kids and we had planned and made everything to move on nov 16th like booking a moving truck, cancelling our lease, ... So anyone being through this or any lawyer could answer that question? I think it's not fair at all, if they offer a job it means everything is fine and my husband didn't do anything wrong they just decided that like that. SO here we are between our packing boxes. My husband is seeing his boss(the one in the south) next week and he wants to fight to have this job in the north back because we think it is not right to just dumped us like that. Thanks for any answer!

I have been working for the Social Security Administration for 20 years. Last year I was deployed to FEMA as CommunityRelations Specialist. I enjoyed this work so much I decided to apply for a permanant position. Well, I have been called for a job interview. I have not had a job interview in 20 years! I am a little anxious about it. Can anybody give me some good advice on what type of questions to expect, what the best replies may be and the do's and don'ts.

After a long job search, I was recently interviewed for my dream jobm working as a Director of a Program that provides services to children in need. I have 14 years experience working as a Director with the disabled and know my chances are good to get this job, however I also know there is at leat one other candidate. I have interviewed with the Executive Director of the agency, and had a second interview with a panel made up primarily of board members. I just received an email asking for me to meet with the staff on Monday. I have never gone through such a long interview process so I'm a little confused. Is this par for the course or does it mean a job offer is imminent? Any feedback is appreciated.

i have secured a first class in b.com and working in call center from last 3 yrs as a ream lead now and this profile is back firing on me as i have given interviews in banks and they feel reluctant to recruit me. or may be i am seriously lacking certain skills atleast for giving interviews in banking sector i need guidance on the same. my confidence is down i left call center as to do a course of IFBI which would have helped me to get a job in ICICI bank and the height was that i couldn't even clear the preliminary interview it has completely shatterred me as i am always good in interviews for call center's and got appreciation from many interviewers except in banking so please let me know which course can really help me geta job in banking sector which is faster and affordable .

By that I mean, there will be lots of opportunities to get promoted and change depts to go into a dept where I think the work would be more interesting etc. I am thinking that it may not be worth applying to small/medium sized companies since the movement of staff between depts will be a lot more restricted and the company may not be interational. I lke the idea of working abroad, you see!

However, the big companies usually require higher calibre employees with at least a 2:1 degree, whereas I have only got an ordinary degree - non honours. Do you think that I should be satisifed with what I have got and just apply to small/medium sized companies or try and apply for these big companies perhaps on a lower level job such as customer service or administration and hope that I could get a better job within the company through internal promotion or by applying to other jobs at the company through the internal vacancy list etc?

Thanks
