After a long job search, I was recently interviewed for my dream jobm working as a Director of a Program that provides services to children in need. I have 14 years experience working as a Director with the disabled and know my chances are good to get this job, however I also know there is at leat one other candidate. I have interviewed with the Executive Director of the agency, and had a second interview with a panel made up primarily of board members. I just received an email asking for me to meet with the staff on Monday. I have never gone through such a long interview process so I'm a little confused. Is this par for the course or does it mean a job offer is imminent? Any feedback is appreciated.

Relax.
I know how you feel.
If it's yours its yours.
3years ago I went thru 5 interviews for my current job. Country Director - Airline

* Be confident yourself and keep it there specially when you meet the BOD and staffs. They need to see your confidence and be assured that they have make the right choice by giving you the chance.

* Be humble. Don't boast. Any BOD like to have humble personel in their executive management team.

* In Director level all the necessary is LEADERSHIP. They asked you to meet the staffs means they want to see how would you handle people. Be aware of this, relax, be confident and smile is a gluten to draw your people.

* Another thing is your intelligent. If you have reach 3rd interview, surely you might have passed the intellgent criteria, but always bare in mind that nothing is confirmed till the offer on your hands. Meaning other candidate might be the winner, sometimes attitude affects the overall.

* If you have done your best the last thing is pray (if you're a believer)

All the best.

Chances are you are among the "short list" of final candidates and have a very good chance of getting an offer.
Do "NOT" tell them how badly you want the job as this may seem as desperate and no one wants to hire someone that is desperate, they do want to hire someone that can logically assess the situation and give them constructive information as to why they want the job. One of my trick questions within an interview is to ask the following.
What additional skills and or training do you feel you will need in order to become more effective in this roll?
If you can get this information to the interview panel and have a very concise and logical approach to assessing your short comings and have an action plan that shows them you have a thorough understanding of the job requirements and that you are serious about continuous improvement in your career this is a very admirable quality. Then sum it up by stating all the assets you have to do the job now and how you will ensure you are keeping on track with the changing requirements for the job in the future. This should let them know you are quality minded and very perceptive of demands on the job and your professionalism should give you that slight extra you may need.

They might be having some difficulties choosing the right candidate to fill the position. Hence the need to interview you for the third time to reinforce their opinion on you.

a 0.33 interview is a sturdy infdicator that they are drawn to you. regardless of if, you may't anticipate something...you haven't any longer have been given the interest until eventually this is provided and you settle for. sturdy success...i'm hoping you get the situation.

Usually, there are more than one interview, it depends on what the position is. In your case, it sounds like this company is making sure you are the proper fit. Don't worry and just be yourself. Good luck!
