Hi, I'm looking for some advice on the different kinds of blue collar jobs available. So far, becoming a Paramedic or Police Officer are leading the way, but I have thought about jobs as an Electrician, Emergency Room Nurse, HVAC Mechanic, and Truck Driver. I'd like to find a job that constantly has something to do, as I become very restless when I have to sit around all day.

As far as pay is concerned, something around $35,000-$50,000 would be comfy for me, nothing higher. Any ideas, advice, suggestions?

I graduated from a medical assisting program at a vocational school last fall and have yet to find employment in that field. I have contacted the school job person but they were no help. Any ideas on how to find this type of job? I am more interested in the administrative aspect of the job.

My boss is a Director of Human Resources. He has done some non-ethical/unfair things to employees and continues to procrastinate important things. He expects me to cover him and act like I dont know anything when people ask questions. What should I do?

I have loved cats since childhood. When we were kids, my sisters and I would always find cats wandering around the playground in the local park, and bring them home. Of course
my parents never liked it, but they let us keep them anyway.
Anyhow, I would like to be able to work with cats all the time.
Are there any careers that would allow me to do this?

I'm graduating in finance and an accounting CPA firm asked me to interview with them (small firm of about 60). I have only taken 12 hrs of accounting (2 beginner and 2 intermediate classes but they were a while ago and I only know the basics). Would I be able to cut it in an accounting position there? And also, what would I be doing? I ask this cus the interview is 3 days away and a 3 hour drive and want to make sure it is worth it and I actually know and like what I would be doing. Thanks.

Usually, from what i've heard, the interviewer asks "Do you have any questions?" after the job interview. and it's not a good thing on your part if you dont have any questions to ask.
What would be some good questions?

This is for a basic entry job into the Retail Industry (Sears, Bestbuy, Target, Officemax, etc.)

Okay. I recently applied to nine different fast food chains. I got a call from a Papa John's pizza place and they asked me to come in for an interview. I think it went pretty well and the interviewer told me that they would call me at the latest by the end of next week if I got the job because they were going to interview some more people. Does it seem like they will call me to give me the job?

I sent in a resume for a county position indicating I would graduate June 2006. I walked in June instead, I had one class left. I figured that by the time the county called me for an interview, I would have already fulfilled the course.

Unfortunately, the class wasn't offered in the summer and I still find myself one class short of my bachelor's.

I have my interview next week and am worried they might accuse me of lying. I know I did but I did it thinking that I would be done this summer. I put June because I didn't want to miss out on the career opportunity.

Should I tell them during the interview, before, after? Or call them as soon as possible? I'm afraid they might deny me now. Thanks in advance. Greetings!! =)

My niece was fired from her job as a bank teller because she was short $1900. They wanted her to admit to taking it in exchange for dropping any potential charges. She says she is innocent so she declined to plea bargain. So now she has this charge pending, her unemployment was denied because of the reason she was fired and she cannot get a job that requires being bonded, which is almost any good paying job. What recourse does she have to clear her record and securing a good job?

I've obtained A.S. degree for awhile, and I didn't look for jobs because of alot of reasons that impact mylife. Now I feel like I'm ready and want to start somewhere. Therefore, I currently apply a job that is start out low, but still didn't get it. Why??? Is it because I'm over qualified or because I'm lacked of experience?
