Yes its called a forced out, they make it so imberable for you that you quit. Now, you can't get unemployment funds, good luck in your new job hunt.
Next time this happens to you, try to carry on like its not bothering you while you look for a new job so you dont have to quit before having another job lined up, cause right now the job market is really hard!!!

Happens to many of us out here, it's a real world situation. In this case, the boss who didn't want you and doing everything to get you to leave, WON! You walked out, she wins! I know this situation can be intolerable (been through it myself) but I would have seek other options then to quit (again, did this before :-)
- have a talk with her. Get other co-workers involved (if they are in this position too). Tell her you want to work with her and how can you work with her. It works sometimes, people are still reasonable :-)
- start looking around, quit only when you have another job in hand. No bargaining power when you have no job in hand and with the competitive job market, you'll never know how long it will takes you to find another job.

Oh yes. I felt so much better when I left. My family said I should have left sooner, but I was afraid of not having a job and not being able to pay bills. My situation was a little different I did have a new job, I gave my proper notice and then was given the cold shoulder and was expected to do things I never did, so I just said that my resignation was effective immediately, turned in my badge and keys and left. What a big relief it was for me. You will find another job and be happier. Good luck.

You're not alone. I had a boss who was very vindictive. If you were in her department and messed with her, she would either write you up or suspend you. You were only fired if you did something detrimental to the company. However, she loved tossing her weight around.
Don't feel bad. You got out of a horrible place. Find something better!
