Cat lovers! Are there any careers that allow me to work specifically with cats?

I have loved cats since childhood. When we were kids, my sisters and I would always find cats wandering around the playground in the local park, and bring them home. Of course
my parents never liked it, but they let us keep them anyway.
Anyhow, I would like to be able to work with cats all the time.
Are there any careers that would allow me to do this?

Check your local Humane Society. There are also numerous shelters and organizations that provide care for abandoned cats and dogs that aren’t affiliated with a humane society.

Search your local area for one of these types of organizations and see if they have any jobs available.

That's pretty small varieties of careers, if it's working specifically with cats. I can think of one career -- working in the cats shows/competitions. Or you can be an entrepeneur opening up a business targeting cats only -- maybe in grooming, training or even culinary.

Well, why not be a VET and then specialize in Cats. Like some doctors, they specialize on Neuro (brains), Cardio (Heart) and Pediatrician (for children). Try learning more about being a VET then open a VET store/hospital specializing in cats.

If you are till relatively young, I'd suggest a career in vetinarary medicine. If this is not an option, try working for a professional breeder or working at your local SPCA

Go for an RVT (registered veterinary technician) education. You might have to deal with dogs or birds at times , but your preference for cats will win out among your co-workers.

yes, you could be a vet that only takes cats. our vet does that.
