Not stupid at all. It shows you really want this job. You could also enclose a note of some sorts asking the company if they received the first one, and if not, here is a second one because you WANT the job. Then I'd call them in 3-4 days, ask if they had a chance to look over the application/resume, and if they say yes, be aggressive and say, "Great, when would you like me to come in for an interview?" You'll get an interview, or not, but at least you tried. Good luck!!

I am not sure how the company would look upon it. If it were me hiring, I would look at the person as disorganized. I think when you are applying for jobs, it is important to keep records of where you applied, when, job descriptions, etc. On the other hand, if you really think you may not have applied for it yet, don't miss out on the opportunity.

If you really want to apply this job, you have to be enthusiastic!!!!
Those famous people in our history worked hard on things, they might have not succeeded every time, but at least they tried.
So I think that you should not be embarrassed or feel stupid about it. The chairman of the company(or anyone from the company)you want to apply to will definitely be esteem your enthiusiasm!!!!!!
Good luck !!!

I personally worked with a company who rejected a candidate because he applied more than once. He was seen as desperate.
My suggestion is that if it is possible, use a different method when you re-apply. For example, use snail mail. That way it can be explained as you are being thoughtful to follow-up with a hard copy application.
Best wishes.
