I am a postdoc at a good univ here in the US. At the same time I have a job offer from India, my home country.

If I refuse this job now, I will have to perform consistently well for three more years to go back for a better position
so that I can work independently.

If I join, I am likely to end my career right now.

Jobs in my field are scarce so If I do not perform consistenly all this while, It might be a suicice too.
I get distracted & lazy a lot of times so I am not sure
of myself either !!

plz advice

I have a job interview coming in a few days. Almost every one I've been to has asked me this question.

I just don't know how to answer it, without making myself sound like the worst candidate...

What are some "weaknesses" that aren't really weaknesses?? Help!

I only have two to 4 weeks left there so I am hanging in there. It is so disfunctional because my boss throws tantrums and then expects us to forget all about them 5 minutes later. By the time I am finished there I will not have a tongue because I'll have bitten it off! I think if I felt like I had to spend the next 5 to ten years there I'd blow my fu(king brains out!

Are minority minimums in businesses still necessary? I'm getting sick of hearing that I can't fill a position because they need an "ethnically diverse" employee. Has anyone else experienced this? Isn't that racial discrimination? What do you think?

What is difficult is that this offer was presented to me after several days of negotiations on compensation. I haven't signed any paperwork yet so I am not officially committed. They have sent an offer letter. I just received another opportunity that pays more and that might be a better choice. How should I approach the situation without burning any bridges?

The job in question is the same thing I do now, only with a higher pay. My current employer never asked for my diploma. This will be the first time that I have ever had an interview where I have been asked to bring one. Is there something I can say or do to get around this?

I'm 20 years old and running a web design company. I save most of my money as I'm not a materialistic person. Is my career in good hands for many years to come? I can design anything in web 1.0/2.0 quality as I've been doing this since I was 13. I just started this year to full time.

I really want to become a Construction Manager when I get older and eventually a Top Construction Executive. Unfortunately I do not know how to prepare myself for these jobs after I graduate from high school. Is anyone familiar with what college I should go to? What degrees or licences I need? Thanks!
