I have a job interview coming in a few days. Almost every one I've been to has asked me this question.

I just don't know how to answer it, without making myself sound like the worst candidate...

What are some "weaknesses" that aren't really weaknesses?? Help!

The key here is to be honest and turn them into a positive. For instance, "I am a bit of a perfectionist. That's because I take pride in my work and want to do the very best I can." You may want to think of an example to back this up. "I demand a lot from myself. In doing so, I accomplish more." "I am a workaholic. I want to learn as much as I can, because I am very committed to doing my very best." Hope this helps. Your local Dept. of Labor has lots of info about interviewing and job hunting. Good luck.

Three weaknesses for a job interview:
1. Compromise some of my views for my friends.
2. Sing in low tones during work hours
3. Read newspapers only in the evening

Think of things that you are not good at but have nothing to do with the job. For example, if a nurse were asked this question she/he could say the weaknesses are:
typing
foreign languages
history

Work ethic isn't a weakness, but with the attitudes some people have you'd think it were some sort of exotic disease or something.

Always make your weaknesses sound like strengths that would benefit your employer, for example, "I don't like failing", "I'm a perfectionist", "I get wrapped up in my work", etc.

If I think of more, I'll update...good luck on the interview...make sure to make good eye contact!

hmmm,
1) i usually arrive at work a little to early, and think i have wasted alot of my life waiting to punch in

2) i work harder then the others around me, and management usually fights to get me in their department

3) i have been offered promotions over people who have been with the company for years, which creates animosity

4) sometimes i pay particular attention to details, and the job is flawless, but it might take a few extra minutes to complete

5) sometimes i give to much back to the company, and they start investigating me to see if i am somehow cheating the system

My weakness is that I care to much, I work as hard as possible, and I usually boost profits 500%.
