Not going from any person experience, but my logic is telling me yes. Companies (and people) are looking for web designers everyday for their business or personal use. The world is leading towards an age of total technology (I think I stole that from a movie, lol) and if it, infact, does, then websites will need to be made. :)

There's definitely a good future for people who really know the latest about Web 2.0, AJAX, Rich Internet Applications, etc.
If you have design skills and technical skills in developing html, CSS, JavaScript, etc. then you're really in a good position.
The Web, as you probably already know, is really changing lately, and I think a lot of companies have become complacent with their Web 1.0 sites and are suddenly waking up to the fact that the competition has moved on to Web 2.0. So whether Web 2.0 is really all that revolutionary or not, soon (if not already) everyone will be clamoring to "get some of that 2.0/AJAX/RIA stuff" that they really don't understand but have heard is the future of the Internet.
So I think the business of Web Design/Development is really going to pick up.
In terms of your own business, I'm not sure how well you are doing. A lot of companies are only going to do business with larger, well established Web design companies. There is a market for one person Web Design companies, but these are the low end small companies that don't have a lot of money to spend.
If your business doesn't do as well as you expect, you should try to get a job with a larger Web design company and still do your own Web design work on the side.
The most important thing is to keep up with the latest technology, design, and events happening on the Web. Otherwise, I think you're in a great place.

if you are 20 years old and running something, that says a lot about your management skills to say the least. So if the web design thing doesn't work out, then you can al;ways go another route. I listed the website that can tell you better. Continuing your education may help your cause too. Good luck to you, you sound like you have a good head on your shoulders.

As long as you continue to educate yourself, stay aware of the changing landscape, and keep an entreprenuerial attitude, it will be a good career.
Web Design as we know it today could be very different and will be, in 10 years. But if you keep up with things you'll do fine.
