I'm doing job at i-banks, do companies typically require you to have your transcript sent to them after they hire you? Is it typical for a person to put his GPA on his resume? Would having not so stellar grade affect whether they would hire a person?

i just moved to a different department... same job new team and boss. since i got there shes tried to control everything i do... i mean down to... to tape or lick my envelopes. (she says tapes too expensive.) ... well a couple of weeks ago i asked her if i could close my register 30 minutes earlier than normal, cuz i get really stessed out, trying to do a deposit in such a short time frame. she just said NO. not even giving an explanation. so i just let it go... until one day nobody did a deposit the previous day and i knew it was gonna be huge... so i asked someone else (becuz she was on break) to close me out early. he did ... she got her feelings hurt and now we have a huge meeting on tuesday... about the rules of my job... i went to her and explained myself, that i was just stressed about the amount of money and lack of time... that i wasnt trying to be malicious... but in hindsite i can see why shed feel that way... what am i supposed to do she still thinks im out to get her????

Do you like your job?
What is it you like or don't like?
Did you study for it in college?
Or did you just fall into it and never left .

I am in my early 30s.
Currently working in info technology in a contract that will wind down in about 2 months. I've signed up for USPS employment test, but I'll have to miss a day of work which will cost me about $120 of gross income. I am drained by the constant need to study and sometimes unreasonable demands of end-users in this IT field. Now even if I take this USPS test this does NOT gurantee an interview, and I am aware that competition is really tight for USPS employment. Would you still take a day off and lose $120 of gross income to take USPS employment test if you are interested in working for USPS?

if you work 40 hour or more at work is that considered full time. Because I work 40 hours or more and they refuse to give me health benefits because technically i'm not listed as "full time" but they give me over 40 hours a week. So when i asked them to list me as "full time" they said no. And are continuing to give me over 40 hrs even though im listed as "part time". What should I do?

if you tell your work that you have to leave an hour early because you have to attend a funeral, can they make you stay? My friend was at work today and had that happen and they said she could not leave. Can they do this? Doesnt she have a right to leave? She is only 17 years old, so she doesnt know. I mean the physically followed her around the store so she wouldnt leave, and they tried to scare her into staying. Is this right?
