There are many jobs we don't even think about that teachers can do in the business world. But the fact is, having a college degree opens the door to many other fields of endeavor. Employers will take a chance on someone who has a degree because of their broader range of knowledge and discipline.

Who would think that my son, MS physics, would work for 2 years for a chip manufacturer, then become a teacher?? Now, he's back in the "business world".

Plenty! One field that jumps out at me right off the bat would be a corporate trainer. But, depending on what field you are educated in, there are always additional opportunities where you might least expect it. Instead of thinking about what you majored in, think about what skills you're proficient in and go from there. There might be a whole slew of jobs that you're not even thinking about because you're only seeing a narrow portion of what you could actually do.

any job that requires only whatever degree you have. (like law enforcement requires only this ammount of college, though not in any specific field)...A teacher would be qualified for any managing position to start out with, too...Probably clerical work, also...
