About 3 months ago I got an offer from different company, which was countered by my current company. So I decided to stay with my current company. Now there is going to be a position available within my current company which i am highly interested in. How should i break it to my manager? Will it look bad on my part even it is a position within my current company. Please help..

Dicuss it with your manager. Some companies have apolicy where employees are expected to stay in a postion for a minimum of 6 months before being able to transfer to a different one. However, if they don't have that or if you manager is agreeable, perhaps you could then talk to the hiring manager and see if you could work out the possibility of being part time in each position for a transitional time, or finding someone else who might be interested in splitting their time between the same to positions and doing a double job share with you.
