i just moved to a different department... same job new team and boss. since i got there shes tried to control everything i do... i mean down to... to tape or lick my envelopes. (she says tapes too expensive.) ... well a couple of weeks ago i asked her if i could close my register 30 minutes earlier than normal, cuz i get really stessed out, trying to do a deposit in such a short time frame. she just said NO. not even giving an explanation. so i just let it go... until one day nobody did a deposit the previous day and i knew it was gonna be huge... so i asked someone else (becuz she was on break) to close me out early. he did ... she got her feelings hurt and now we have a huge meeting on tuesday... about the rules of my job... i went to her and explained myself, that i was just stressed about the amount of money and lack of time... that i wasnt trying to be malicious... but in hindsite i can see why shed feel that way... what am i supposed to do she still thinks im out to get her????

I never understood why, but for some unknown reason sometimes you run into somebody that doesn't like you, for no other reason than they just don't like the way you look! It makes it twice as bad when its your boss! This has happened to me twice. Once when I was a teenager and again when I was 28. The first time I took it. The second time I didn't, I stood up to my bully boss and he backed off! If being kind and diplomatic isn't working then your going to have to make a stand. You deserve the same respect that you show your boss. Just because there the boss doesn't give them a right to walk all over you and treat you like second class citizen...........I hope it gets better for you, Good Luck.

She is a control freak and I am sad to tell you - probably not the last you will run into. At the meeting - just go with the flow - don't try to raise any arguments - be apologetic - in other words - kiss her ***. Make it as pleasant as possible for HER. Because you are not going to win against a moron like this. Then when you get home, make some coffee and start looking over the employment ads. FIND A NEW JOB!

I can't stand people like this. They think that the only way to do things right is how they would do it. You need to go to her again and tell her that you want to make the best of the working relationship you all have and she needs to be more receptive to helping you complete your tasks in a manner that is effective and efficient for you. Obviously you've been there awhile so you know what you're doing and she need to get a grip and stop trying to overexert her efforts to prove her job is essential to the company. If you can't get thru to her go above her head til you get things right.

SHE'S A CONTROL FREAK!She's scared to loose her position of authority that's why she wants everyone to do things her way ..which she thinks is the best way.....so that the big boss(her boss) keeps her there...Sucking up and bowing down is the only thing that works on such people..I feel for you

make it a reality.....just quietly set out to get her. do your job, do it well, better than she expects and get promoted, hopefully out of her department, maybe to being her supervisor. silent revenge can be so sweet!

People use themselves to judge others. She knows how she got where she is.
