What defines what?
I have 3+ years of (Non-Manager) experience working in the field I am applying for. Does this make my Career level "Experienced (Non-Manager) or am I still "Entry level"? Where is the line?
Does it matter if I have a degree in the specific field where I apply?

THANKS!

The work is communications (marketing) related, therefore eloquence and presentation is a basic minimum requirement. There is no way to delicately list the litany of disasters and mistakes I find in covering letters and on CV's – spelling & punctuation mistakes, incorrect grammar, lack of any coherent thought process and sloppy composition & presentation.

I have a nice hardworking son just about to go to college and he really wants to work on his spare days. So far he has applied for over 40 jobs across the board (he's not fussy what he does) and not had one interview. He has a great CV and is sensible, dilligent and willing to undertake almost anything. He needs lots of equiptment for his college course and wants to help out here and there with the cost; as well as needing some pocket money for himself. We just aren't having any luck.

i was recently part of an interview panel for a large company on a national uk recruitment drive and some of the male applicants when asked for their comments or any questions brought up the fact that they were gay, this has confused me because sexuality was not part of the criteria for the job and frankly i do not care what they are as long as they can do the job, so, why mention it none of the girls interviewed told us they were gay, whats happening, can someone please tell me in sensible terms,) the job positions were nothing to do with sexuality) why gay guys bring it up

It is 6 month review time and the last two reviews I was told I wasn't receiving a raise partly on brecause of the self assessments we fill on wasn't good enough. I haven't received a raise since March of 2002 and have been with the conpany for 6 years and feel like they are because of this. What is the law about this sort of thing.

I am currently finishing my last week at my job as a bartender and am currently in college. I would like to become a mail carrier in the future. The local newspaper needs a person to run the route, and I am considering applying. I figure it would be a way to make a little money and look good on my resume when I try for the postal service. Any thoughts on the subject welcome.

Someone working for me has asked if they can work part-time instead of full time. He's a single guy without children or family commitments. He wishes to work as a volunteer with disabled people two days a week. He has stated that he believes he could do as good a job in 3 working days as he currently does in 5.

Although I think what he wants to do is laudable, I run a small customer services team, and am responsible for the team's performance. From my perspective, he isn't exactly a superstar as a full time worker. He deals with fewer issues than other people on the team, and I've been considering dealing with that as an HR-issue. He may be thinking of trying something else to see if he'd rather do that instead of this job - I don't know

I have spoken to my boss about this, and the only way he will support any part-time working is if the person concerned is a 5* performer, rather than someone who is a weak/unmotivated performer.

Any suggestions on how to communicate this?

This chick is so infuriating... she is covering the job of one of my colleagues for 2 months and she does NOTHING. I have to ask her and make sure she does her work otherwise she will just sit there. I have told management and they are aware of the problem but nothing has been done. She has just been given 2 weeks off while her parents are over on holiday... I have worked my a*se off for the past 6 weeks and I am not allowed to have a day off because we need 2 people in this office at all times. She has been here less than 6 months. WHY is she getting special treatment??

What do I do!?
