Your problem is opening a US bank account because you need a Social Security Number SSN and this is only granted to registered aliens and to all US nationals at birth. It is supposed to be a "tax number" but too many companies ask for it as an ID reference, which of course is very dangerous for ID theft. You can try opening a bank account and explaining that you do not have a SSN but that you need to receive funds during your stay. They might do it. They did for me in 1980 while I waited for my registered alien status to go through! good luck!

If you work in the USA, you can not come on a tourist visa. You need to get a proper work visa. You need to find a bank that allows non US citizens to open accounts. Not sure how possible that is these days since they all require a social security number, which you can not get.
