I realize the down-side to a life experience degree, but I find myself in need of an advanced degree for a job I am already doing in a foreign country (and have been doing for several years)...and I am completely unwilling to spend the money or effort on a traditional type of program. I need something within a few months.

The diploma itself needs to look good. I need transcripts and the ability to have diploma and transcripts verified at least by mail (a fee would be expected). I would like to find a company/school that didn't blatantly advertise life experience degrees and had, as close as possible, the appearance of a traditional distance learning university or a brick and mortar school. In other words, I want it to be as close to a traditional degree as possible. I am more concerned with quality than expense.

Thank you very much to anyone who offers an opinion...especially if you have personal experience with the company/school you recommend.

I received quite a number of job offers via e-mail as payment representative. These people are apparently from other countries (ireland, africa, china) with businesses or projects and they need people to transact money for them in the U.S. They ask for my full name, address, and other personal details. It says "these payments are in form of money orders or cashier's checks and they would be made in your name, so all you need do is cash the money order deduct your percentage (10%) and wire the rest back" to wherever country they're in. It's obviously a scam, but does anyone know exactly how it works??? Thanks!

I know you're supposed to get all dressy for interviews, but does that include one at Pizza Hut, or would a pair of jeans and a nice t-shirt work?

I have been repeatedly threatened by an employee, who reports to me, with the following threat: "I am going to get you fired then kill you". When I brought this to the attention of the owners I was told "Oh, he's just a punk". The punk is being mentored (for lack of a better term) by the owner of the company, so my recourse is limited since I need the job. Any suggestion?

I already checked on salary.com, and couldn't even find the job title environmental lawyer. It had environmental engineers, environmental compliance specialists, and also regular lawyer I, lawyer II, lawyer III, etc.

I know the question is a bit personal but i need answers and here's why!... I'm 25 yrs old living in los angeles, graduated from college with a BS in chemical science an microbiology last yr. as every college graduate dream i wanted to get a good job and make good money. I got a job in my field at a pharmaceutical company and it only paid me $12/hr. it took 6 months for my rate to go to $14/hr. i hated my job and the whole field related to it so i quit. i felt like it was pointless going to cellege and getting myself in debt with student loans for shitty payin jobs. i had friends who didnt have college degrees and they were makin $16/hr workin in a bank. anyways.. in about 10 months i will be moving out of this country but mean while i need to get a job that would pay some decent money so i could save up a little... WHAT SHOULD I DOOO!! im sick of job agents sending me to $13 and $14/hr jobs. I need guidance.. and it doesnt have to be related to science. help plz :(
