Where do you work?

Im trying to get some ideas for a job i want to go for, atm i am totally clueless about what i want to do, so share this info with me and try and inspire me :)

I'm in manufacturing (office). I have been doing this type of work for about 5 years total (never before) and I have since realized that there are SOOO MANY companies out there - in the industrial areas that people don't pay attention to but they can be quite interesting!!! Usually you get to dress down at work too. The downside is it isn't something you will get rich at unless you are the owner. My advice to you (I am 48 years old) is to try to go to school. Educatin is not only the key, but I will help give you ideas of what you want to do with your life. I wish I did.

Let me share my idea with you!
When you are not affordable to get whatever you want, it is a prove that you are financially insecure. Work in the private sector is good but, if you are still young try to make money with every single seconds that you have. E.g: Work at home after your working hours or during weekend. Go for the internet business which require less of your time and the one that will not make you feel headache with web designing or which require IT knowledge. Second, choose the internet based company which offer you the opportunity and at the same time giving you the convenience to start the business where all the things are automated. Third, choose the business which does not require big money to start it. Think again, when you are earning money from the internet, you have the chance to get rid from an income tax.

I work in the office of a construction company. It's terrible sitting at a desk and answering the phone for 8 hours every day. I graduated from high and had no desire to go to college. Now, 33 years later, I'm stuck in low wage occupations and never will be satisfied. My advice is zero in on your interests, talents, and strengths, go to college, and go for it! But always remember, work is work and fun is what you do after work. Good luck.

Senior Researcher in Real Estate. Came in knowing nothing, learned the ropes and a year later I was the Boss's deputy. Money's not great tho, unlesss you want to get into sales and are good at it.

Bottom line, you have to enjoy what you do and sometimes it takes a few attempts to find it. Good luck!

I'm a Fire Fighter...best job in the world!!!

Get to do some really cool, fun, challenging and tough jobs, have a great crack with the guys on the watch and generally play with big toys all the time...

There's so many female Fire Fighters discovering that this job is for them...hope you join them!!

I am a housewife(and proud of it) but I do participate in http://www.*************/index.php?ref=55129 to make some extra money. My husband is a truck driver. That is a job that is always in demand. There are a lot of female drivers now. Some drive teams and some are solo drivers. Its a pretty good paying job too. Good luck in whatever you decide to do!

I recommend that you ask for a mentor. This is available via Big brothers / Big sisters. There may possibly be some mentoring at your church of from the city you live in as well. This can be very valuable in having someone who can listen to your needs, and open doors that one ones own could never be opened!!!
